Engaging Knoxville in Ecology and Evolution
Inspiring the Knoxville community to conserve nature through education and engagement
We are a graduate student-led organization based in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
As EKEE (Engaging Knoxville in Ecology & Evolution) we seek to:
-
Inspire Knoxville to appreciate and understand the importance of biodiversity, conservation of East and research happening at UT EEB
-
Introduce Knoxville to the diversity of UT scientists and variety of ecological and evolutionary research happening at UT
-
Provide EEB researchers with 1) opportunities to communicate science to public audiences and 2) tools to effectively implement science engagement in their careers
EKEE currently focuses on visiting local schools and community groups and participating in the local Farmers' Market.
